Updating our Terms of Service, Payments Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy

At Airbnb, our community and vision for travel continue to expand, so we’re updating our Terms of Service, Payments Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.

These updates are aimed at making our Terms more concise and easier to read, and to reflect new types of services available on Airbnb, like our Group Payments and Pay Less Up Front features. We’ve also made changes to comply with the new requirements under the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

The updated Privacy Policy  will go into effect for all existing Airbnb hosts and guests on May 25, 2018.

The updated Terms of Service and Payments Terms of Service will go into effect for existing Airbnb hosts and guests on June 27, 2018. When you use Airbnb on or after that day, we’ll ask you to agree to the new Terms of Service and Payments Terms of Service.

All new hosts and guests that register starting today, April 16, 2018, will agree to the new Terms.

To learn more, you can review the new Terms by clicking here. We’ve also posted information to explain these changes in more detail on our Terms of Service Update page. Both the old and new versions of the Terms can be found at the Terms of Service, Payments Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy pages.
